The Saadiq Visa Gold Credit Card has been carefully developed by an international team of professionals with Islamic financial expertise, who ensure that our products are within the guidelines of Islamic finance.
The Card is based on the Shariah compliant interest free ‘Ujrah’ concept which operates on a fixed fee structure. In this case, only a fixed Monthly Maintenance Fee is charged against your outstanding balance.
This unique feature provides you the flexibility to pay a fixed Monthly Maintenance Fee only when you choose to revolve on your Card irrespective of the outstanding balance amount.
How does Standard Chartered Saadiq Credit Card work?
The Card operates similar to any conventional credit card. You may choose to pay a minimum monthly amount of 5% or AED 100 (whichever is higher) of the outstanding balance and the remaining balance is transferred to a Service Account.
The Service Account is a non-interest bearing / non-profit bearing account which is linked to your Credit Card. The fixed Monthly Maintenance Fee (Ujrah) is charged for the maintenance of this Service Account and the continued usage of the Card and its privileges. This fixed Monthly Maintenance Fee is only charged for the months the Service Account is in use.
