When writing a cheque, please use the cheque-writing format shown below. By doing so, you will enjoy the confidence that your cheques are deposited in the right account and all the relevant information required for ease of clearance are there. If some part of the cheque is written wrongly, preferably a new cheque is issued. Otherwise all alteration must come with full signature and rubber stamp if rubber stamp is part of the signing mandate.
3 steps to write your cheque right!
| Step1 | Ensure that the payee is correctly written |
| Step2 | Please ensure i) The date format in order of day/ month/ year ii) The amount, both in words and figures match and begin as near to the left hand margin as possible. iii) Signature is as per banks record |
