Inspiring individuals

We're inspired by people who are passionate about what they believe in and have the courage to overcome obstacles to achieve their goals.

Seeing is Believing

Blind athlete, Henry Wanyoike, and his running partner, Joseph Kibunja, take part in all of our marathons, speaking to thousands of people about the importance of having the courage and the right partner to pursue their dreams.

They’ve also helped raised awareness and millions of dollars for our global community programme Seeing is Believing, which helps tackle avoidable blindness.

Goal

Chayya Gaikwad joined our Goal programme - which empowers women through sport, financial education and life skills - in 2009. She’s originally from a village in Maharashtra and moved to Asha Sadan - a home for women and girls in distress - when she was 12 years old.

After showing great potential and an avid interest in sports, Chhaya was taken on as an assistant coach for the Goal Mumbai programme, where she conducted life skills sessions and coached netball.

She's since been offered an internship at the Bank and shortly after joining us, she moved from Asha Sadan to a hostel for working women. She’s now learning to become independent and money savvy.
