Rugby

We sponsor youth rugby programmes in Singapore and Hong Kong, in partnership with the Rugby Unions.

The aim is to encourage young people from lower income families to join, so they can develop their skills and open up new options for their future. We currently have more than 7,000 young people from 130 local schools taking part.

We also run a youth rugby programme in partnership with the Korean National Unions to promote and foster future rugby players for Korea. So far, more than 300 elementary and middle school students have taken part in our clinics.

Football

We’re the official sole sponsor of the ‘K-League Youth Development Programme’, running from March to December 2011, in South Korea.

Our development programme provides a variety of activities and events to help children aspiring to be players in the K-League - South Korea’s only fully professional league and the oldest in Asia.

Recent activities include seminars, clinics and fundraising events that have enabled more than 250 children to take part. One of our biggest events was the Liverpool FC Academy in April 2011, which saw the Liverpool coaches hold a number of sessions with 100 K-League youth players, 120 children of our customers and employees and 20 visually impaired children.
