Since joining SCB in 2007, I have held 3 different roles, each giving me an opportunity to learn and grow.

My first role was Business Planning Manager for Originations and Client Coverage, South East Asia (Singapore).  In this role I developed and implemented the SEA growth strategy and during which time we achieved double digit growth.

My second role was Business Planning Manager for Originations and Client Coverage, Americas (New York).  I worked on restructuring the client portfolio, the Brazil growth strategy including an acquisition, an organisation restructure to improve productivity, opened a San Francisco office, organised a global conference and managed a client due diligence team.  We achieved improved returns and increased rapport with clients as we were there for them in spite of the global financial crisis.

I recently moved into Wholesale Bank Portfolio Management (Singapore).  In this role I hope to leverage the skills I had developed to manage Wholesale Bank assets and improve returns on capital.  I am part of a team that is building the infrastructure and influencing bankers to change behavior.

Each challenge has been an exciting one.  It has been rewarding to have had an impact on the bank and to be part of the growth story of SCB.  A career with SCB has fulfilled my criteria for a career post-MBA: opportunity to grow and make a difference, MA program with strong support and training, strong values, an institution whose strategy I believe in and is in the right markets, and last but not least, great people to work with.  I remain excited by the opportunities that lay ahead.
