We operate as one bank with two major businesses, Consumer Banking and Wholesale Banking, actively reinforcing each other. These two main business functions are supported by our Group Technology & Operations team and our Specialist Functions.

Consumer Bank

Our Consumer Banking team serves the borrowing, wealth management and everyday banking needs of 13 million retail customers around the world, including small and medium-sized businesses.

With a global footprint of 1,700 branches and 5,600 ATMS in 71 countries, our customers' banking needs are met through a variety of channels including the internet, ATMs, branch operations, contact centres and a network of highly skilled relationship managers.

Wholesale Bank

In today's global economy, Wholesale Banking plays a crucial role in helping corporate and institutional clients facilitate finance and commerce across some of the world's fastest growing markets. We provide services and solutions to a diverse client base that spans the globe.

These services, which include Corporate Finance, Financial Markets, Principal Finance and Transaction Banking, are supported by a dedicated Client Coverage team, an award winning eCommerce platform, and a global research function.

Group Technology & Operations

As the second largest group in the Bank, Group Technology & Operations (GTO) is key to the Bank's success.  GTO lays the foundation for growth across all businesses and functions by making the Bank as stable and efficient as it can be today, while building a scalable model with the right systems and people to respond to the challenges of tomorrow.

Specialist Functions

Our customer and client facing teams couldn't do their jobs without the support of our Specialist Functions. They provide the infrastructure critical to our day-to-day business, and the expertise needed to shape the future of the Bank.
