Terms of our settlement with the DFS have been finalised

Standard Chartered PLC (the "Group") confirms that it has now finalised the terms of the settlement with the New York State Department of Financial Services (“DFS”) as outlined on 14 August which included a payment USD340m.

The Group continues to engage with the other US agencies on their review of the Group’s historical US sanctions compliance. The Group cannot predict when this review and these discussions will be completed or what the outcome will be and therefore potential liabilities cannot be reasonably quantified at this point.

The details of any resolution will be communicated in due course.
