A presence in 5 major cities and a corporate sales force of over 30 dealers gives us an unmatched reach and service capability across the country. The products offered include foreign exchange, derivatives and options, fixed income sales and origination (new issues). Our trading desks - foreign exchange, interest rate derivatives and fixed income - are pre-eminent market makers and provide depth and liquidity to local markets. A large balance sheet gives us a natural position of a major player in wholesale money markets.
The Bank also has a Primary Dealership, which deals exclusively in Government Securities. The Standard Chartered Asset Management Company offers a range of debt products and manages over USD 1 billion.
We are an active participant in various advisory forums and have played a lead role in RBI committees on Rupee Derivatives and Options. Our back office operations, which were India's first to be accorded ISO 9002 certification, now form part of the state of the art global processing and reconciliation hub in Chennai (SCOPE).
