Q. What is the balance I need to maintain in the account?
  You need to maintain an average quarterly balance of Rs 250. If you don’t maintain this balance there is a non-maintenance fee of Rs 100/- per quarter.

  This product is available for Resident individual customers. Account may be opened in the name of persons and bodies mentioned below upon being properly introduced in a manner approved by the Bank:

  Yes you can opt for an ATM card or a debit card in this account. Please refer to the schedule of charges for issuance of these cards.

  Yes you can avail of a local personalized cheque book or a Multicity cheque book. Please refer to the schedule of charges for charges associated with issuance of a cheque book..

Q. Can I avail of Internet banking & phone banking facility?
  Yes with this account you can access internet banking & Phone Banking. Please refer to the schedule of charges for charges related to registering for phone banking & internet banking.

Q. Can I transact at all Standard Chartered Bank ATM’s?
  The first four transactions are free per month done at any SCB channel ( internet banking , phone banking, ATM or branch). Beyond the fourth transaction there will be a charge of Rs 75 per transaction in addition to a charge that is applicable to that service.

Q. Can I transact at other VISA ATM’s?
  Yes you can transact at all other VISA ATM’s globally using your debit card. Please refer to the schedule of charges for charges related to these transactions.

Q. Is there a limit on the cash that I can deposit into my account?
  You can deposit cash upto Rs 10,000 per month. Any cash deposited in excess of Rs 10,000 per month will attract a charge of Rs 2 per 1000.

Q. How often do I get a statement for my account?
  You get an annual statement free with this account. You can however avail of a quarterly statement at a charge.

Q. Is there an account closure charge?
  If you close your account with three months from the date of account opening there will be a charge of Rs 500.
