Q. What is the Rewards Grandé programme all about?

 

Standard Chartered Bank is offering its savings account customers reward points on a host of electronic debit transactions. These reward points can be accumulated over the year and received as a cash-back, where 1 reward point = 1INR.

Q. Who is eligible for Rewards Grandé?
  The rewards programme would be offered to aXcessPlus and SmartPay customers maintaining required average quarterly balance.

Q. What are e-transactions?
  Electronic financial transactions carried out using any of the electronic channels such as ATM, Standing Instructions, Electronic Clearing Service, Internet Banking, etc are called e-transactions.

Q. What are the conditions for redeeming reward points?
  Threshold burn point (min. annual accumulation value, currently at 500 points). 
A maximum of 20 points per month can be accumulated against usage at Standard Chartered Bank ATMs.
Average quarterly balance gate: if the customer is not maintaining product average quarterly balance then reward points accumulation can be de-valued/denied.
SmartPay: Three consecutive salary credits into the account during the period of the offer will be the eligibility for reward point redemption.

  The cash back amount will be credited into the customer’s bank account on request by the customer, placed with Phonebanking.

  The cash will be credit to the customer’s account within 5 working days after making a request to redeem reward points with Phonebanking.

Q. What are the maximum points that can be accumulated in 1 year? 
  Customers can accumulate a maximum of 2000 points in 1 year.

Q. How will the reward points be calculated?
  The reward points under Rewards Grandé are calculated from the list given in the table above and the upper and lower limits are applicable as detailed in this document only. All other reward programmes announced by the bank (such a Debit Card, POS reward points) are separate and their limits and eligibility cannot be clubbed with this offering.

  Accumulated points have to be used by June 30th 2009, else they lapse.

  Yes – all debit financial transactions at Standard Chartered Bank ATMs are eligible for the offer.

Q. Will the current reward points on Debit Card POS spends at merchant establishments continue?
  Yes – The current reward and loyalty programme on Debit Card POS spends at merchant establishments will continue in addition to Rewards Grandé. Customers will be able to view their points accumulated under each scheme in their quarterly statement of their bank account.
