Paul SkinnerPaul Skinner joined the Board of Standard Chartered PLC as a Non-Executive Director on 3 November 2003.

Paul is Chairman of Rio Tinto Plc and is a Non-Executive Director of the Tetra Laval Group and L'Air Liquide SA. He is also a member of the Board of INSEAD and of the Defence Board of the UK Ministry of Defence. Previously he was a director of The 'Shell' Transport and Trading Company plc and Group Managing Director of the Royal Dutch/Shell Group of companies where he was CEO of its global Oil Products business. He worked for Shell for 37 years.

Paul read law at Pembroke College, Cambridge and has a diploma in Business Administration from the Manchester Business School. He is married with two sons and lives in the UK.
