Domestic Payment Service

Domestic Payment Service streamlines and automates the accounts payable process for businesses needing to make a high volume of local currency payments. By employing secure and easy-to-use Windows-based software, Domestic Payment Services helps you to prepare, authorise and transmit large numbers of multiple local currency payments to Standard Chartered using state-of-the-art technology. You will be able to pay your vendors using more efficient and secure process, and your beneficiaries will receive timely payment with detailed information to facilitate their own reconciliation.

Modules under this service include:

  • Secure Cheque - allows customers to effect secure payments to beneficiaries who do not hold a bank account or who do not bank with Standard Chartered. Customers transfer their cheque payment instructions to the bank via diskette or electronically. SCB will then create the bank cheques and distribute these to the beneficiaries on behalf of the customer or return them to the customer for distribution.
  • Payroll Services - this is an automated payroll processing service offered to customers who process their payrolls manually through the bank. Customers can transfer their payroll instructions to the bank by diskette or electronically in an acceptable file format. These instructions are uploaded onto the bank's software and the payments are then automatically generated and processed.
  • Direct Debit - this service allows customers to transfer their direct debit instructions to the bank by diskette or electronically, at least five days prior to processing. The account holder will then be debited on the due date and the customer is credited the following day.
