Standard Chartered organises a Blood Donation Camp
Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Ltd has been driving various community initiatives in the country. Seeing is Believing and Living with HIV/AIDS are the two frontline community initiatives launched by the Bank. In addition, the Bank has been undertaking various environment related initiatives on a regular basis.
In an effort to further its Other Community activities, the Bank organised a Blood Donation Camp at its Branch, Lazimpat on 7 August, Saturday. The Camp was organised with the technical assistance from Nepal Red Cross Society, Blood Transfusion Centre.
The Camp saw an active participation from its customers and staff. Altogether, around 80 individuals donated their blood. The Bank has also planned to hold such events on a regular basis in future.
This programme was initiated as a part of the Bank’s Employee Volunteering program, whereby the staff is encouraged to participate in community activities and is entitled for three days leave in addition to their annual leave to volunteer in the community related activities.
