Standard Chartered believes in supporting sustainable economic development through social inclusion, environmental protection and good governance. The Bank is committed to the communities and environment where it operates.
With an aim to help the students strengthen their academic skills, the Bank supported Shree Mahankal Secondary School, Mahaboudha by upgrading its science laboratory with necessary equipment. CEO-Sujit Mundul inaugurated the laboratory amidst the presence of Mr. Sun Manandhar, Principal of the school and senior officials of the Bank on 7 April. The Bank supported by making available science lab accessories worth approximately NPR 80,000/-. The Bank had earlier supported the school by providing ten sets of computers for enhancing computer skills of the students.
The management committee and the entire school family took the opportunity to appreciate this gesture of the Bank.
Speaking at this occasion, Mr. Mundul added that Bank will continue to support its other focus areas of Youth, Health and Education apart from its two major initiatives – ‘Seeing is Believing’ and ‘Living with HIV’ in the future as well.
