The Race for Amazing Deals Promo Mechanics
- Standard Chartered Bank’s “The Race for Amazing Deals” promo (the “Promo”) will run from November 22, 2007 to April 16, 2008 (the “promo period”).
- The Promo is open only to all cardholders (the “cardholders”) of Visa Credit and Debit (Electron) cards that have been locally issued by Standard Chartered Bank Philippine branch. Standard Chartered Bank Visa Credit cardholders whose accounts are active and not past due are eligible to join the Promo. Standard Chartered Bank Visa Debit (Electron) cardholders whose accounts are active (i.e., not dormant) are eligible to join the Promo.
- Every retail transaction made and posted in the Standard Chartered Bank system within the promo period entitles the cardholder to one (1) electronic raffle entry. Raffle entries earned from retail transactions of supplementary cardholders shall be included and counted as raffle entries of their respective primary cardholders. Only retail transactions made and reflected in the system within the promo period shall be eligible for the raffle.
- Retail transactions include straight purchases and installment purchases. Cash advance transactions, all credit card fees and charges such as annual fees, late charges, finance charges, credit card sale slip retrieval fees, cash advance fees, over limit fees and debit adjustments will not earn raffle entries. All Standard Chartered Bank Debit (Electron) card fees, charges incurred due to failure to maintain the minimum balance requirement, dormancy fees, ATM balance inquiry and withdrawal charges and debit adjustments will not earn raffle entries as well.
- The prize of the raffle draw is a cash credit of US$50,000, exclusive of tax, which shall be converted to its Philippine Peso equivalent at the closing exchange rate of the day of credit to the winner’s account. The prize will only be credited upon its acknowledgement by the winner and shall be reflected on his/her statement of account. If the winner is a Standard Chartered Bank Visa Credit cardholder, the cash credit will be applied to his/her outstanding card balance, if any, or will be treated as advance payment for succeeding purchases to the extent that may be covered by the cash credit. If the winner is a Standard Chartered Bank Visa Debit (Electron) cardholder, the prize will be deposited to his/her Savings or Checking account. The 20% prize tax shall be for the account of the winner and shall be deducted from the Philippine Peso equivalent of the US$50,000 cash credit.
- All electronic raffle entries from the Philippines will be pooled with entries from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Brunei for the Grand Draw which will be held in Singapore on April 30, 2008. The winner will be announced on the Standard Chartered Bank Philippines website and in local broadsheets.
- The winner will be notified by Standard Chartered Bank via phone and registered mail.
- The winner must personally acknowledge the awarding of his/her prize at the Credit Card Marketing Group Office at the 5th floor Skyplaza Building, 6788 Ayala Ave, Makati and present his/her winning Standard Chartered Bank Visa Credit or Debit (Electron) card and any of the following valid IDs: Driver’s License, Company ID, Student ID, SSS ID (with Photo) or passport.
- The winner is given sixty (60) calendar days from notification by phone or receipt of registered mail, whichever comes earlier, to acknowledge the prize. Failure to do so shall, subject to DTI approval, result to forfeiture of the prize. The raffle prize will then be awarded to the next drawn raffle entry.
- Should the winner be a Standard Chartered Bank Visa Credit cardholder, the cash credit prize that will be credited to his/her account shall not be transferable. Should the winner be a Standard Chartered Bank Visa Debit (Electron) cardholder, the cash credit prize may be transferred through proper banking channels. However, if the winner’s Standard Chartered Bank Visa Credit or Debit (Electron) card or account is closed/cancelled or becomes delinquent (i.e., past due) during the time of drawing of the raffle entries, the prize shall be forfeited and shall be awarded to the next drawn raffle entry.
- The winner irrevocably authorizes Standard Chartered Bank to disclose and publish his/her name, photos and other particulars determined by Standard Chartered Bank to any person/s and in any mode or manner, as Standard Chartered Bank may deem appropriate.
- Employees of Standard Chartered Bank in the Philippines, its advertising / PR agencies, and its accredited service providers, including their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity, are disqualified from joining the Promo.
- The decisions of Standard Chartered Bank on all matters relating to this promo will be at its absolute discretion and will be final and binding on all participants with the concurrence of DTI.
