How is the Standard Chartered Platinum Cash Rewards Card different from credit cards of other banks? The Platinum Cash Rewards card is the credit card that offers the highest cash rebate on the widest range of establishments. It offers: • 3% cash rebate on ALL dining purchases • 3% cash rebate on ALL department store purchases • 0.3% cash rebate on ALL other purchases This cash rebate is a permanent feature and is applicable to all your transactions – both local and international. Regardless of the season or the merchant, you will receive a cash rebate whenever and wherever you use your card. |

Who is eligible to apply for the Platinum card? Applicants who have a Gross Annual Income of at least Php 500,000 or have an existing credit card with limit of Php 60,000 or higher are eligible to apply for the Platinum Cash Rewards card. |

What do I need to submit if I wish to apply for the card? To apply for a Platinum Cash Rewards card, you will need to submit the following: a. Completely filled up and signed application form b. 2 valid IDs c. Existing Cardholder: Details from other credit cards d. First-time Cardholder: Any of the ff income documents: 1 month’s pay slip, certificate of employment |

What are Cash Rewards? Cash Rewards are cash rebates that Platinum Cash Rewards cardholders earn for every retail purchase they make. Cardholders will receive 3% cash rebates for charges in all dining establishments and all department stores. For all other establishments, cardholders will get a 0.3% cash rebate. |

What transactions are eligible to earn Cash Rewards? Any straight, retail purchase made through your SCB Platinum Card will be eligible to earn Cash Rewards. However, cash advance and installment transactions are not eligible to earn Cash Rewards. |

How much Cash Rewards can I earn with my Platinum Cash Rewards Card? You earn a 3% rebate on purchases in all dining establishments and all department stores. For all other transactions, you will earn a 0.3% cash rebate. |

Where is this offer available? This offer is available anywhere in the world. All local and international straight charges will be eligible to earn Cash Rewards. |

How does SCB know if I make my transactions in department stores or dining establishments? Each merchant / establishment with a Visa terminal has an assigned Merchant Category Code (MCC). Whenever you use your credit card, this Merchant Category Code is reflected in our system. Based on the MCC code in the system, Standard Chartered Bank can identify transactions made in department stores or dining establishments. |

What is a merchant category code (MCC)? A merchant category code is a classification of made by the acquiring bank which issues the Visa card terminal of the merchant. This is based on the merchant’s nature of business. |

What are examples of Department Stores? Examples of department stores in the Philippines are: SM Department Store, Rustan’s Department Store, Landmark, Robinson’s Department Store. However, these examples are subject to the correct assignment of Merchant Category Codes by the acquiring bank. |

What are examples of dining establishments? Examples of dining establishments in the Philippines are: Pizza Hut, Pancake House, Gloria Maris, TGI Friday’s, California Pizza Kitchen, Gerry’s Grill, Grappa’s Ristorante, Embassy, Kenny Rogers, Starbucks, McDonald’s. However, these examples are subject to the correct assignment of Merchant Category Codes by the acquiring bank. |

Are supermarkets or groceries considered department store purchases? Supermarkets/groceries, convenience stores, furniture shops, petrol service stations, drugstores, hardware stores, appliance stores, specialty stores, and hotels are not recognized as department stores. |

Is there a maximum amount of Cash Rewards I can earn? Yes. You may earn up to Php 5,000 worth of Cash Rewards in a 12-month period starting from your card’s approval date. |

Do Cash Rewards have an expiry date? Yes. Your Cash Rewards will expire after 24 months of non-redemption. At this point, your Cash Rewards Balance is reset to zero. |

How do I know how much Cash Rewards I have earned? Your earned Cash Rewards will be reflected in your monthly statement as actual pesos, so you will always know exactly how much you have earned. |

How do I redeem my Cash Rewards? Simply call our Contact Center Hotline at 830-1111 and inform our Customer Service Representative that you would like to redeem your Cash Rewards and we will credit the amount to your card. |

Can I redeem any amount of my Cash Rewards? You must have redeemed a minimum of Php 500 worth of Cash Rewards as of your last statement for each redemption request. |
| How will I know if the redemption was effected? Your redemption of Cash Rewards will be reflected in your next month’s Statement of Account. |
