Smart Wallet is a Financial and Personal Accident Product of New Hampshire Insurance Co., (AGI) Pakistan that offers coverage against the following:

Questions that you may have
1. Does it provide insurance coverage to all my Credit Cards?
Yes! It cover all your Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited (SCBPL) as well as non-SCBPL Credit Cards (VISA, AMEX, MASTERCARD and DINERS) that you might have in your wallet.
2. How will it cover me from Credit Card fraud?
The plan refunds financial loss of Credit Card (all types) transactions done fraudulently due to loss or theft or robbery. The plan covers financial loss incurred within 48 hours prior to reporting to the Bank about the loss.
Sum Insured Financial Loss = Maximum up to Rs 40,000 per month
3. How will it cover my Identification Papers?
In case of loss or theft of Identification Papers, along with the loss or theft of the Credit Card, the plan refunds the expenses incurred on the replacement of Identification Papers (CNIC, driving license and passport). Coverage is within the sum insured of financial loss of Rs 40,000. You can claim a maximum of Rs 20,000 under replacement cost of Identification Papers.
Identification Paper = Maximum up to Rs 20,000 per month
4. How will it cover me under Personal Accident Insurance?
It will cover the policyholder for Rs 650,000 in case of Loss of Life or Permanent Disability of the insured due to theft or robbery.
5. Who is the Underwriter of Smart Wallet?
New Hampshire Insurance Company, (AIG) Pakistan is the Underwriter of Smart Wallet. It is a member company of America International Group Inc. (AGI) and has been operating in Pakistan since 1949 with branches in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Faisalabad.
6. How much will I need to pay?
You only need to pay a nominal monthly charge of Rs 95 to avail the benefits of Smart Wallet.
7. What is the enrollment and de-enrollment process?
An SCBPL representative will call you to seek your consent for enrollment under the insurance program. You can also enroll under the insurance program by signing up for Smart Wallet on our Credit Card application form or you may simply call Phone Banking at 111-002-002 where a Phone Banking Officer will guide you on how to enroll under Smart Wallet.
8. How will claims be settled?
In the unfortunate case that you suffer from any of the insured events, you or your legal heirs as per the succession certificate granted by the court of competent jurisdiction (in case of death or disability) should contact the insurance company. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for details of documents required. Your claims as per agreed with the insurance co. will be settled within 15 working days upon submission of the required documents.
9. What should I do if my Card is missing?
The moment you come to know about your missing Credit Card(s), immediately inform the issuing Bank and block your Credit Card(s), and at the same time contact New Hampshire Insurance Co., (AIG) Pakistan at 111-111-244. You should ensure that you record your claim at AIG within 45 days after occurrence of insured event. However, you / your legal heirs can record your claim under Personal Accident Insurance within 180 days after occurrence of insured event.
10. Will I be covered at all times?
Yes, you will be covered 24 hours a day, worldwide.
11. What if I pay the premium through both my SCBPL VISA & MasterCard?

If the insured pays premium through both SCBPL Cards (VISA and MasterCard), the insured will be indemnified with double of the limits, subject to the actual loss amount in case of financial losses through Credit Card fraud.
- If you pay premium through both SCBPL Cards (VISA & MasterCard), you will be indemnified with double of the limits under Accidental Death & Disability.
- In cases of Identification Paper the Card Customer will be indemnified once only up to the extent of limit.
12. Can I cancel the insurance?
You can cancel your coverage at any time by calling Phone Banking at 111-002-002.

13. Can I insure Supplementary Cardholder?
This privilege is only for principal Cardholders. However, as all expenditure of the Supplementary Cardholder is charged to the same Account, any fraudulent transaction done due to loss or theft of supplementary Card is covered.

The Customer hereby consents to Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited (SCBPL), its officers and agents disclosing information relating to me / us and my / our Account(s) and / or dealing relationship(s) with SCBPL, including but not limited to details of my / our facilities, any security taken, transactions undertaken and balances and positions with SCBPL, to
(i). in any office or branch of the Bank or any group member; any of its subsidiaries or subsidiaries of its holding company, affiliates, related corporations, representative and branch offices in any jurisdiction and related corporations (the "Permitted Parties");
(ii). the agents and independent contractors of the Permitted Parties who are under a duty of confidentiality to the SCBPL;
(iii). any actual or potential participant or sub-participant in, or assignee, novatee or transferee of, SCBPL's rights and / or obligations in relation to my / our facilities;
(iv). any court tribunal, regulatory, supervisory, governmental or quasi-governmental authority with jurisdiction over the Permitted Parties;
(v). any of my / our guarantors, third party pledgors or security providers.
Assignment
SCBPL may without prior consent from Customer transfer, assign the benefits or any part of its obligations and rights to any third party, member of SCB group or any successor of all or part of SCBPL. |
