| About LRBT The Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust (LRBT) is the largest Eye- care Trust in Pakistan devoted to the prevention of curable blindness and impaired vision in people who live around the poverty line. Since its inception in 1985, LRBT has treated over 20 million deserving patients. LRBT has 16 Eye hospitals and 41 community Eye health centres spread over all the 4 provinces. This network ensures that virtually no Pakistani is more than 200 kms from an LRBT facility. About "The Kidney Centre" The Kidney Centre was founded in 1985 and is one of the largest up-to-date medical facilities providing comprehensive and quality renal care to thousands of poor patients – either entirely free or largely subsidised. Conceived as a not-for-profit institution, the actual fact is that over 40% of its patients fall into this non-affording category. The Kidney Centre was initiated by a small dialysis unit with just two machines, presently it is a 100 bed, specialist institution providing complete care for nephro-urological diseases. It also serves as an excellent teaching, research and educational institution for nephrology, urology and related fields. About "The Citizens Foundation" The inception of The Citizens Foundation (TCF) was based on a dream to drive away illiteracy and light the path for a better Pakistan. Today TCF educates 102,000 less privileged children in 730 school units all over Pakistan. Their vision is to remove barriers of class and privilege and provide the basic right of education to every child in rural and urban slums. TCF believes that education is the core issue of all the problems prevailing in Pakistan and in order to have a radiant Pakistan, we need to impart quality education to every child. About "HOPE Foundation" HOPE (Health Oriented Preventive Education) is an NGO (non-governmental organization) based in Karachi, Pakistan, comprising of professionals (Doctors, Social workers, Educationists) as well as grass-root workers. The motto is SELF-SUFFICIENCY and SUSTAINABILITY. The ultimate aim of HOPE is Community Development through self-sufficiency of the community. The members of HOPE are working along with community volunteers who are organized in Community Based Organizations (CBO'S). All activities in the community are planned in co-ordination with the CBO'S and implemented in the community through the CBO'S. Hence, the community becomes SELF- SUFFICIENT and the community development work is SUSTAINABLE. |
