About "Seeing is Believing" "Seeing is Believing" is Standard Chartered's initiative to help prevent blindness. In Pakistan "Seeing Believing" was launched in 2004 and has so far helped save more than 200,000 Eyesights. Other than that, under "Seeing is Believing", Standard Chartered is also training 20,000 Lady Healthcare Workers to provide Primary Eye care at the Community level. An estimated 1 million people (including 400,000 children) will receive primary eye care services annually at the end of the project and at least 20 million will benefit indirectly. |

About LRBT The Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust (LRBT) is the largest Eye-care trust in Pakistan devoted to the prevention of curable blindness and impaired vision in people who live around the poverty line. From humble beginnings: a mobile clinic in Tando Bago in lower Sindh in November 1985 LRBT has grown to 16 eye hospitals & 40 primary eye care units spread over all the 4 provinces. This network ensures that virtually no Pakistani is more than 200 Kms. from an LRBT facility. In its 23 years of existence LRBT has treated over 15 million patients all treatments as well as surgery is free. |
