How it works
- Dial *177# You will receive the message ‘welcome to SCB Mobile Banking, please enter your mobile banking PIN.
- Select ANSWER/REPLY/OK, enter your 6 digit PIN and SEND. You will receive a message ‘’welcome to SCB portal’’, select service
- Select ANSWER/REPLY and enter the number that corresponds to the option that you want to use and SEND
- Upon successful completion of any transaction/request, you will receive a message – ‘’ thank you, you will receive a reply shortly’’
- You will then receive a text response with your account balance, mini-statement or transaction reference number depending on the request that you made.
Tips for protecting your PIN
For purposes of protecting and securing your PIN, please note:
(i) Do not allow anyone else to use your card or to know your PIN or any other security information
(ii) Memorise your PIN and other security information and destroy the notification immediately
(iii) Do not write down your PIN or password
(iv) Do not keep a record of your PIN or password together with your card
(v) Do not use easy-to-guess dates, numbers or passwords such as your passport number or birthday as your PIN or password;
vi) Change your PIN or password regularly
