markets. This activity is known as Commodity Finance and involves
extending credit lines to this client sector. These lines
are designed to cover general corporate needs as well as the
provision of letters of credit of all descriptions, prefinance,
inventory finance, tolling, cash management, exotic currency
trading and other financial products which leverage Standard
Chartered's strong presence on the ground in many emerging
markets.
The global
