Christine Sheehy is a Managing Director and Head of Human Resources for Standard Chartered Bank in the Americas. Mrs. Sheehy is responsible for managing the bank’s Human Resources function for the Americas which includes Employee Relations, Heath & Welfare, Benefits Management & Administration, and Organization Learning. Based in New York City, she is a member of Standard Chartered Bank Americas’ senior management team and reports to the Chief Executive officer of the Americas and the Head of Country HR for the West.
Mrs. Sheehy joined the bank in 1996 after working for a Brazilian bank for seven years. The early part of her career for the bank was in various management roles including technology, information systems, procurement, corporate real-estate, business continuity and project-programme management (Y2k, UBS merger, Post-9/11 rebuild).
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science. She is married with two children and enjoys playing or watching any sporting activities.
