Transaction Banking
Daniel Scanlan is the Regional Head of Transaction Banking for Standard Chartered Bank in the Americas, a position he has held since June 2007 in this role. He manages sales, services, product, and implementation for Cash Management, Trade, Finance, Supply Chain and Custody for the Americas region. His teams cover all of SCB’s client segments including Banks, Global Corporates, Commodity Corporates, Investors and Intermediaries.
Before joining Standard Chartered Bank, Dan was responsible for managing Global Trade at Bank of America based in San Francisco. He joined Bank of America in 1994 in Hong Kong, where he spent eight years managing Regional Cash Management and Trade Finance Sales teams in the region focusing on selling cash and trade to Financial Institutions and the banks global Corporate clients operating in Asia.
Dan has more than 25 years of banking experience, working in various capacities including, sales management, product management, and operations.
He holds an MBA in international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management based in Phoenix, Arizona.
