Donna Daniels is a Managing Director, General Counsel and Regional Head of Wholesale Banking Legal for Standard Chartered Bank in the Americas. Ms. Daniels has more than 20 years of experience in Financial Services, Broker/Dealer and Bank Legal & Compliance. Based in New York, she is a member of the Americas Management Committee

Ms. Daniels has responsibility to provide legal support to all Banking Businesses, as well as the Broker – Dealer business functions, in the US, Canada and Latin America. She currently manages a team of attorneys located in New York, Miami and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Prior to joining Standard Chartered Bank in 2008, she was a Managing Director at Citigroup where she held several positions including General Counsel for both Citi’s Global Consumer Investments and its US bank broker/dealer, and Chief Compliance Officer for its North America operations. Donna is also a trained litigator and arbitrator, having litigated on behalf of institutional investors and banks in securities litigation and bankruptcies and served as an arbitrator for the National Futures Association and the NASD (now FINRA). Donna received her formative training at the US law firms of Chapman and Cutler and Lord Bissell Brook. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois and a Juris Doctorate from Boston University.
