Peter Shaw is appointed Regional Credit Officer WB, Americas and will double hat as Country Chief Risk Officer (CCRO) Americas. Appointed on August 16th 2010, he is responsible for the governance of risk at Standard Chartered, Americas, which includes North and South America. He oversees Wholesale Bank (Corporates, CTA’s and Financial Institutions) and Private Bank. As a Member of the Divisional Management Committee and a Director of SCB’s regional Trading Company, he manages credit, collections, market, trading credit and operating risks.

Peter joined the Bank in 2003 as a senior credit officer based in Dubai and has held various roles in MENA, the most recent being RCO, MENA. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, he served as a credit officer for ANZ based in Jordan, Sri Lanka, South Korea and Australia.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts, Majoring in Accountancy from the South Australian Institute of Technology.
