Standard Chartered Adds 4 New Hires to Client Coverage Group
New York, 22 July, 2010 – Standard Chartered has announced the following new hires to its Origination and Client Coverage group, headed by Jan-Erik Andersen:
John Fell has joined as managing director and head of funds for the Americas, reporting to Julio Rojas, head of Financial Institutions. He is responsible for relationship management within the real-money funds and hedge fund teams. Fell has 25 years of experience in financial markets including fixed income, equities and derivatives at ING Barings, ABN Amro and Citigroup. He holds a BA from Gettysburg College, an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and is a CFA charter holder.
Lucia Martinez has joined as a global account manager based in Houston covering the oil and gas industry clients. Martinez has 12 years of experience in the energy sector and was formerly with BNP Paribas Fortis, Calyon, and CIBC. She graduated with a BA from Texas A&M University and is a CFA charter holder.
Rainer Meier has joined as a global account manager covering the chemicals and pharmaceuticals industries based in New York. Meier has more than 10 years of experience in this area with Deutsche Bank and most recently was a director covering natural resources clients. He holds a BA and an MBA from Technical University in Berlin.
James Ramage has joined as managing director and global account manager for diversified industries and mining and metals. Ramage has 28 years of experience in corporate banking and was a managing director at JPMorgan Chase where he was head of Americas corporate banking and also held senior credit risk positions in both the investment and commercial banks. He graduated with a BA from Hobart College and an MBA from Fordham University.
