Standard Chartered has both a Wholesale Bank and a Private Bank in the Americas. The Bank’s primary function is to facilitate trade and investment flows between the Americas and the Group’s core geographies of Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. In 2009, Standard Chartered added a Corporate Finance capability in the Americas, focusing primarily on cross-border financing. The Standard Chartered Private Bank in Miami services clients primarily based in Latin America.

The Wholesale Bank strategy in Venezuela is focused on Financial Institutions, Multinational and selected Latin American Corporates with links to the Standard Chartered global network.
