We are pleased tio inform you that follwing receiving a license from the State Bank of Vietnam on 8th September 2008 to establish and operate a bank with 100% foreign owned captial, we have commenced operations of the Head Office of Standard Chartered Bank (Vietnam) Ltd since 1st June 2009.
On 1st August 2009, subject to the approvals from the State Bank of Vietnam, for setting-up a Transaction Center in Hanoi and a Branch in Ho Chi Minh City, for Standard Chartered Bank (Vietnam) Ltd, we intend to transfer all your current contracts, accounts and records together with all related documents, agreements, instructions, authorisations, and indemnities to Standard Chartered Bank (Vietnam) Ltd. You are not required to take any action in relation to this proposed transfer.
As part of the transfer process, in due course Standard Chartered Bank (Vietnam) Ltd will reissue to you all related bussiness documents, if required by relevant Vietnamese law or our internal policies and procedures.
Effective from 1st August 2009, the proposed date of transfer of your accounts to Standard Chartered Bank (Vietnam) Ltd, new cheque books of Standard Chartered Bank (Vietnam) Ltd will be issued and existing cheque books will become invalid. Also, for Inward TT, while the SWIFT Code and Bank address will remain unchangged, the beneficiary bank name will change to 'Standard Chartered Bank (Vietnam) Ltd' for credit of funds into your account.
We would like to assure you that there will be no change in any of the commercial terms and conditions of out existing agreements with you, nor will there be any change in day-to-day dealings with us. We are taking all necessary steps to ensure a smooth transition and remain committed to strengthening our relationship with you.
